I called some locksmiths to have six locks re-keyed/replaced and keyed to a master today. I was being told it would take anywhere from 3 days to a week for any appointment. I finally called Alans Locksmith and was given a same day appointment. Tony and Michael were friendly, courteous, professional, and beyond helpful. After they had already finished installing two locks, I told them I didn't like the brass color and would it be too much trouble to change it. Both men were so nice about the change, that I was amazed. They did all their work with a smile *and* they didn't mind me hanging around asking questions. Before leaving, I asked if they could take a look at another lock I was having trouble with. Previous locksmiths would tell us that that particular lock was always going to be a problem, and that we had to close the door a certain way and jiggle the door to make certain the door locked correctly so the spring wouldn't break again. Tony and Michael explained what was going on with it and actually made a repair so that it's no longer necessary to close the door a certain way and jiggle the door. Now it works like a normal door. The fact that they gave me a same day appointment was great, but the customer service was phenomenal. I will not only call them again, I will definitely recommend them to family and friends. These locksmith professionals gave us 100% no nonsense service. We had a door lock that no other company could fix. In fact, one company was making money off us yearly by coming out but never fully fixing the problem. These gentlemen fixed the problem on their first visit! Their kindness and great service made a stressful and irritating situation so much better. I got there 15 minutes before closing and chose the cheaper option of a key because I thought mine were in the car. They promised to stay open longer to see if I'd find it, which I didn't. Half an hour after closing time he comes through my foot of snow driveway and in minutes programmed a new key for me. I'm so grateful, thank you.
