It worked. I think it might be more expensive than the old way but it was easy and fast.

I was looking to get another smart key made . I researched KeyMe and decided to give it a try. They claim how inexpensive they are and what good quality they have, the problem is no where at the KeyMe box or online do they mention you will be given a valet key, not a smart key. Everything advertised on the internet says smart keys made at a discount, for way less than dealers and such. The pictures on the KeyMe are of smart keys, but what you get sent to you is a valet key! False advertising no doubt! Total waste of money, energy and time!!!!

Machine immediately said key copied successfully. At the end of the process, I realized I was not getting a key right then. I had to have one mailed to me for $30(plain car key with no chip). It took about 8 days to get it in the mail. I went to Ace hardware a half an hour later and got one for $8. The key I received in the mail works fine.
