We live in Phoenix and also own a home in payson. Last weekend I didnt realize until we were in Rye that i had left the payson house keys in phoenix. I called multiple locksmiths to see if the cost would be more than I wanted to pay when I could just turn around and get the keys and 2 numbers didnt answer 1 guy charged a weekend up charge and didnt sound like he wanted to help me anyway and then I found Beeline Lock and Safe on YP.com the owner told me that they never charge any upcharge because of the time of day or day of the week not even on a holiday and the $65 he charged to get us in to the house was very affordable. The owner and his wife showed up within 5 min of when we told them we would be there and in another 10 min (after some initial paperwork and proof of ownership luckily the vehicles are registered to that address) we were in and happy. Hope to never have to use their emergency services but will definitely call Beeline Lock & Safe again!

Great local place. Good prices and competitive. I will always support our local businesses before big box whenever possible.

Kudos to Doug for his extra help. We needed a garage door remote opener to match our other one, which mostly likely came from Amazon. I didn't want to wait for it to be delivered, so I called Ace with the model number and description. The one they found was pretty sure the correct one, but there was a hitch with the model number. I sent a photo and Doug was able to match it exactly. He went over and above by searching this out (on the back of the item, not the box) and giving me his cell # to text the photos to. It was correct and we were able to program and use it right away. Additionally, the store has a good selection of lots of stuff one needs and other things they didn't know they needed. Friendly, helpful people, going the extra mile, make shopping at this Ace a pleasure. The return policy is good too. What a helpful thing to know now, when returns are often a hassle. We received a gift purchased at an Ace out of state and were not sure it would work for our needs. When I called to ask if it could be returned at this Ace, someone checked the model and SKU to find it in stock, so a return would be possible, if needed.

Remember when you were young and there was the hardware store that had everything. But if they didn't have they would get it for you. This the place. Easy to get into and out of, and great if you need a good variety of items to choose. Paul's is pretty much that place. If you can't find the item, everyone in house is helpful.

One of the ways a business can compete against big box stores is to be more friendly, more knowledgeable, and more available to help customers. This local Ace Hardware is one of those. Employees cruise the store looking for customers to help, and when found will go out of their way and take as much time as needed to assist the customers with their questions or problems. Our front storm door's latch had a broken spring, so we took it to Ace. Sean was there almost immediately and not only did he search high and low for the part until he had just the right one (Our door is old so the exact part would be hard to track down), but he cut the spring to the right size and attached it to the latch for us. The whole price? 79 cents. Can't beat these guys and gals for service.
