Edit: After completing their survey and posting this review, I was contacted by the store. They were very polite and were able to process the refund over the phone. I would say they did everything possible to remedy the error, so I am changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. Original review: I purchased a car battery online and was also charged $18 for the core. The store was supposed to refund the core charge when I dropped off the core and picked up the battery. I asked the cashier to verify I would be receiving the credit. As his answer that I would be receiving credit was not very convincing, I waited 12 days and checked my credit card history. I was not ever issued the credit. I called the store and they said I would have to go to the store to get the core charge refunded. I then called the online number and was told they could not help me and I would have to drive back to the store to get my credit. It is wrong to not refund the core fee, and wrong to make it difficult to correct when I identify your error. Based on this experience I am not at all likely to recommend Batteries Plus.
