My experience was far from terrible!  STL Local Locksmith is open every day of the week until at least 8 p.m.  I showed up and no other customers were around so I was helped right away.  The guy who took my keys looked at my house key and realized it was a bit "weird" so he had to cut a key twice just to get a good copy.  I was so glad he actually scrutinized and did the work over again since the copy he made worked perfectly.  I was totally happy with the copies I got since they all worked in my locks.

I was having trouble with a door handle/lock in a vintage building. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly (within 48 hrs). Matt was extremely knowledgeable - he quickly identified the issue, and even though parts weren't available via retail because the piece was so old, he found the closest thing he could and modified it to try and help. He tried two different things, and even though we didn't get a solution that worked, it wasn't his fault, and he went above and beyond what I expected. In the end, I had to have my building fully replace the handle, spindle, lock because it wasn't possible to fix something so old. I most definitely recommend this service, and I will use them again in the future, and I would request Matt.

"So I needed a locksmith to duplicate my motorcycle key. I always see this place on my daily commute on Milwaukee Ave. Bright and friendly storefront caught my eye quickly. Convenient that they're open early like 8/9am. Greeted by a very friendly and helpful employee STL Local Locksmith . Prices are very great. Since I already bought a blank on eBay, he not only duplicated my motorcycle key for only 50 cents, he explained to me what the serial number on my motorcycle key represented. He even explained that I should take a picture of my key and in the case I ever lost it, I could get an original OEM key from the manufacturer with that serial number. Very insightful, articulate, and professional. Will be back soon. It's interactions like these that I'm glad I didn't use an app a friend recommended that mailed you duplicated keys. Going in-store was much quicker, cheaper, and a better experience. Never going back to Home Depot"

Best locksmith service in town! STL Local Locksmith went above and beyond, I called for a simple lock fix, and while he was here, he tested out a few other locks in my house! I really recommend using these guys when in need. He showed up on STL Local Locksmith e and rekeyed 3 door locks for me. It didn't take very long and he charged me a reasonable service fee.
