This shop, also known as Manatee Lock & Key, changed ownership about two years ago. While people tend to only begin negative reviews with such a statement, I'm breaking this mold by stating that the change was for the better (nothing against the previous owner, by the way). James has not only a wealth of knowledge about all of his products and services, he also goes out of his way to make sure he has the best pricing on said products that you could possibly find in the 941 area code. Eric is also very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly/helpful with every customer I've seen him help. The employees are happy to accommodate any orders that they possibly can, from having one key duplicated all the way up to re-keying and installing new locks in entire residence facilities. If there's a security camera or a hi-tech lock you want to have installed, but they don't have on hand in shop, they will call around until they find it for you, then keep calling until they find the best deal on it. They take pride in their installations, and they're quick to offer multiple solutions in the event that any technical issues arise. This is a smaller operation, with only two full-time employees, so they occasionally have to schedule a job in a time frame that isn't quite within the customer's desired window. That said, however, this is a very rare occurrence and scheduling is always done at the absolute first available time. I've driven down Manatee Ave past the shop as late as 3am some nights and seen James hard at work inside, so it's not like they just don't feel like working! All in all, this shop is far and away the best locksmith and security installer in Bradenton. If you find a better price at any other business, then let James know and he'll do everything within his power to beat it (and I've witnessed this firsthand). These guys will go the extra mile for you, and I can't recommend them enough.
