This Store is to me what I consider a long time "Anchor Hardware & Lumber Supply Store in a Community". I know it's been here in the Corsicana Community at it's current address, every since I moved here back in 1983. Until most recently, I think I had been in the Store a time or two. Recently I visited the Store on 3-4 different occasions. I found it to have quite a variety of different items and worth a look around in the Store, well worth the time. Clean, Orderly, and a friendly knowledgeable Staff. I went there to buy some Corrugated Sheet Metal for covering a Patio that I was building over a Deck on my RV. McKee Lumber is who I first thought of when I saw the covering material was not available at the local giant supply store Home Depot in Corsicana. I stopped in and I picked up 2 sheets to start the covering and the material was in 12' lengths and I had a 6' short bed Chevy truck. I loaded it in my truck, tying it down with it resting on the cab of my truck. It was not going to be far of a trip to my RV, but it was windy. As I started to leave the yard, a older gentleman who I believe was a Mr. Morris or Morrison, was in his pickup. I believe he's a person whom may own and/or manage the business since I moved here long ago. Anyway, he stopped me and told me to come back and he'd have someone place a board on top the thin sheets of metal in order to keep the wind from bending up the metal sheets I had just purchased. So I did as he suggested. The employee placed two x 15' pieces of 2" x 6" decent quality boards atop the thin sheets of metal and he helped me tie them down for my safe trip to my RV Site. I was charged nothing, not one dime for what I believe were 2 fairly Costly pieces of lumber. I never saw this type Service come from a small time store. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the Service I was afforded that day. I have since been back on 3-4 occasions to buy items like deck screws, metal fastener screws, and other project items I needed. Along with a visit today, just to purchase a nice straight 8' piece of a 2" x 4" which I was very pleased with my decision to stop in McKee's vs. driving all the way out to home depot. I would highly recommend this store for your building supply and hardware needs. Quality/Affordable products at reasonable prices. Stop in and take a look and talk to the friendly helpful staff. It will be well worth your time.
