Siamo rimasti chiusi fuori dalla nostra auto al centro commerciale e sono arrivati entro mezz'ora. Hanno addebitato $50 per sbloccare l'auto e $2.50 per una copia della chiave di casa (ho pensato che tanto valeva visto che era lì lol). Apprezzo la velocità e la cordialità del servizio. Erano l'opzione più economica rispetto a quello che abbiamo trovato online. Anche la nostra assicurazione auto, AllState, era molto più costosa.

I went in to get a new key for my 2007 Chrysler Aspen and bought it for over $130. The old man working there programmed it and then gave me the key. As I was driving home with my old key, the check engine light came on and the power steering went out. Thank goodness I wasn’t on the freeway. I eventually made it home by constantly turning the car off and on again. I had to take it to the shop, which was another $100. They did a diagnosis and found out that the new key I got was triggering the anti-theft system in my car, which made it stop running. They had to reprogram my other keys because they also were triggering the anti-theft because the coding was messed up due to the new key. The old keys were working just fine until I got the new remote. I called the number provided by Google Maps and was told by a rather unpleasant woman that I had to wait until the person who sold it to me was back from his vacation so I waited. When I went into the Sandy location, where I bought the key, to ask for a refund, the old man from whom I bought the first key from was there. He was on the phone and when he was finished with his conversation he was immediately rude to me. He basically called me a liar and said he has never heard of such a problem, even though I had a document from the repair shop which stated the cause of issue. He checked the new key and before the machine even loaded, he said multiple times that he didn’t make a mistake. He claimed I was having “buyer’s remorse” and took the new key and turned on my car. It did turn on but only because I had to get all my keys reprogrammed after the issue he caused in the first place. I’m now out over $200 because of his mistake. He rudely told me to look at a sign in the shop, located in Sandy, which said remotes are not refundable. I understood that, because they can’t be reprogrammed for a new car but he was so rude about it. I will never buy nor do business there again.

I called Action Locksmith to see about getting a new key fob for my son's vehicle. The person I talked to on the phone gave me a price of $125 to get a new key fob and this included cutting and programming. I mentioned I wasn't sure if the vehicle had an engine immobilizer and needed programming for an immobilizer chip. I was told the person at the shop would be able to determine that and let my son know whether he needed it or not. I sent my son there and he came back about an hour later with a new key fob and was charged $125. I asked my son if the locksmith even checked to see if he needed the key fob with the immobilizer chip. He said the locksmith just asked for his original key and proceeded to cut and program it but never said anything about whether his vehicle needed the chip. Later I found out the vehicle did not have an engine immobilizer. I talked to the locksmith about why he sold my son this key fob when he didn't need it. His explanation was that was the only key they sold and he simply plugs the key fob into his programming machine and it gets programmed. I asked him how it could program an immobilizer chip when the vehicle didn't have an engine immobilizer and he simply reiterated he plugs the key in the machine and it programs it. He didn't really seem to know anything about how to determine if a vehicle needs the immobilizer chip or not. If I would have known this I wouldn't have sent my son to this place. For those who may be in this same situation, I would recommend researching whether your vehicle needs the immobilizer chip before using this business. I was able to purchase an identical-looking key fob from eBay for $13, have it cut for 50 cents at a local store and program the remote for the door locks myself in about 5 minutes. It's my fault for not doing some research before this but my son was headed up to the high Uinta's for a backpacking trip and he only had one key for his vehicle. I don't mind paying a reasonable fee to have a new key cut and a remote programmed but feel the charge for this was excessive when there was no need to program an immobilizer chip.
