I called KeyMe because I locked myself out of my home & realized it the minute I closed the door. Young women said she would have a technician call me and it would take about 30-45 minutes. Turns out they parcel their work out to other businesses, in this case Locksmith Services. I explained that I was outside w nowhere to go & it was 22 degrees out. By my 4th phone they required my credit card info or they wouldn’t come out. I waited 3 hrs for someone to finally show up from a company that works with KeyMe called Locksmith Services. In those 3 hrs, I called at least 5 times. When they finally arrived, he looked at the lock & said $220 + 39 for showing up. I got charged $275. It took this young man with his friend watching, maybe in their late 20’s early 30’s, less than a minute to open my door. It’s called Highway Robbery!!! They know that after a women of 68 years old has been waiting for 3 hrs in 22 degree weather (the last 20 mins in a neighbors home who took pity on me) standing outside in the cold, that she’ll agree to any amount of money. I was shocked and of course these 2 young men didn’t blink an eye. 3 hrs of waiting in the cold & 5 phone calls later and $275 and I’m in my home which took less than a minute. KeyMe should be ashamed of themselves. Bad business and I’m going on Facebook telling the whole world about how they treated me and not to use this business. Shame on you KeyMe and Locksmith Services!
