He seemed fairly priced and did average work (nothing exceptional), but I felt he gets flustered easily and has a short temper. He demanded that I show him my receipt from previous work showing that I paid with a credit card because he really wanted me to pay with cash, even though from his truck and website it clearly shows that he accepts visa/mastercard. I showed him my receipt and he finally conceded, but I felt it was uncalled for. The first time he did work for me, his buddy came by and he was having a conversation with his friend in my front yard and not working on my door. He is also not very resourceful -- I had to search for the parts to get the correct color match for my door handle/lock. He was just as well going to put a non-matching color and said "well I don't see it in my catalog so it must not exist". So I called the manufacturer to find the part numbers. That shouldn't be the responsibility of the customer, that is something that the locksmith should know. I don't think I will be using his services in the future. He lacks the demeanor of a professional. Also he does not effectively communicate with his customers who might have some nuanced questions.
