Overall the price was not terrible, I paid a deposit of $145 compared to other places that quoted as low as $125 and up to $200 but Colgate’s told me they could do it the same day and before they closed at 5:30pm. I first called at 2:30, then again when the locksmith hadn’t called to say he was on the way yet at 4:40 (20 mins before they close after being told I’d have it before then) told he was finishing up another job and about to call me. Okay, cool. About 5:15 he finally pulls up outside my house and does not call but just sits there for about 20 minutes. I go outside and he then calls and gets out of the van to look at my car. It took 2 hours for a key to be made and programmed when the programming is usually the difficult part but that still takes about 15-30. The whole job should not take more than one hour. I even had the car battery on a charger to be sure it was charged up so he could program the key quickly without having to do it himself and wait for that. A lot of sitting in the van and smoke breaks for a regular key... no key fob or anything extra and it took that long and was not very professional as well as the woman answering the phone assuring me of it being done by 5pm. In total from first call to finish... 5 hours!!! Fingers crossed my deposit with card is not charged for after hours services for their slip up! Not very impressed at all, but eventually got the job done.

Service tech was very courteous and arrived on site earlier than expected. Tech jumped right in and removed old door hardware and installed new in minimal time. Will use Colgate Locksmith again in the future.

My car key was damaged and wouldn’t turn in the ignition to start my car. After a terrible 3 hours waiting on triple aaa to send someone out, I finally got in contact with Joe from Colgate. Not only was he understanding and sympathetic to what I was dealing with, he was extremely easy to communicate with, knowledgeable, and spent extra time working on my passenger door, making sure the key would work on all locks. He was upfront about pricing as well. And even offered to make me a remote for a reasonable price if I ever brought my car to the shop. Next time I run into any issues regarding a locksmith, Joe at Colgate will be the first person I call. I couldn’t recommend him and Colgate highly enough. Thanks Joe!!

Anthony did an excellent job. I couldn’t unlock my car due to the locked being jammed. Neither of my key fobs worked. After having a service unlock the car I luckily found this place to get new keys with remotes made. Anthony was very knowledgeable, friendly, and fast. They had the parts on site to make the keys, no need for them to be ordered. Anthony pinpointed the problem and I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. If I need any work done on keys or locks I will call them first every time. Highly recommend to anyone needing automotive keys made.

I was a walk in customer with a 2008 Honda that had two broken fobs and only one usable key. I was greeted at the door and after only 20 minutes, I was back on the road with two new keys and working fobs. Outstanding customer service and Anthony really knew his stuff. I will always take my locksmith needs here.
