I went to store today looking for a replacement vacuum belt. -Had no idea what to look for... An employee approached (Teresa) and asked if I needed help and spent a good deal of time finding the right size for me while I walked around. This is why I come to McGuckin's... They have the best customer service over anybody, by far.

This is the best hardware store I have been to. They have EVERYTHING in there. They have a houseplant depart with a big selection. Not just a hardware store. They even have decent art supplies including oil paints. Cool store.

Went there for the first time on Easter Sunday, as I am new to the area, and I love the store!! They have some cool, useful items. Some stuff does seem overpriced, but my hubby and I still spent over $200 there that day. The thing I didn’t really like about shopping there was that the staff was really overbearing. Literally it was like EVERY aisle we went down, we were asked if we needed help finding something. It got to the point where I felt like we were being treated as if we were trying to steal something, when we weren’t. That alone makes me hesitant to go back. I don’t mind being asked a couple times just out of courtesy, and I’m sure the staff are trained to offer assistance, but every 30 seconds is a little much. My husband goes there often as he is a plumber and works in Boulder all the time and needs to go grab some hardware or what not, and he said he walked in the store with a part in hand one day so he could go find what he needed. On his way to the hardware he stopped to look at chainsaws because there was some sort of deal going on, and he was asked THREE times in ONE minute if he needed help. It’s a little ridiculous. Lol

I called Buffalo Lock and Key in a panic when our business lost the key to a home we were remodeling. They fit us into their schedule on the same day and met us out there to help us get the door hardware changed. They were very professional and understanding, and they arrived to the property right when they said they would. I would 100% use them again due to their professionalism and great communication!
