I bought a Primus lock system which I was quoted $300, yet the young man charged me $326. When I got home with the lock system, I realized I had only half the “system” since it had only one lock side and I purchased a two key system where you have to use a key to get in or out. I went back for the other half.... What I got was a half conventional, half Primus system and when I called, “the 24-hour repair tech said they do that as a favor to customers.” I don’t see how paying full retail for Primus and getting half conventional lock on one side would benefit the customer cuz it’s cheaper parts and not at all what was paid for. I went back in three more times to get the double sided, two key system I’d purchased, but each time I went in, the technician kept changing out the Primus parts to conventional, so that I had nothing of Primus but where the key slides into... the rest of my $326 dollar lock had been changed out to conventional parts that were lighter, more complicated to install cuz more parts to it. Each time I went back for the Primus system I’d purchased, the tech would add cheap conventional parts to it as if I wouldn’t notice or something.... and I’ll bet most people don’t bother to inspect what they’ve purchased, because this guy was mad at me for requesting a refund yesterday after three days of being cheated with cheaper parts. In fact? While in the downtown Bode & Bode office yesterday, several customers came in for keys... they took those customers over helping me and let me sit there for over an hour while they say their card system was changed since last week and told me I had to provide my card info manually to get a refund that has $80 less for a restocking fee... I cannot believe the cheap replacements they gave me didn’t work but to charge me for their blunder of it it working was their fault.. they kept switching out the parts for conventional and cheaper parts so when it didn’t pair up well, that was because they switched out the Primus system altogether for conventional... and it didn’t work. No wonder they offered to install it for free .... Then, the guy informs me it will be an $80 restock fee at 20% and said they can’t resell it cuz it’s mixed parts now.. like that’s my fault. I bought a system... I got parts. Don’t trust these guys... they come with a smile to rob you with cheaper parts while you’re not paying attention... worse part? This was over a three day period.... was it my fault their product was inferior after switching it out for cheaper components? Had a couple file cabinet keys made here. Didn’t have any copies only the codes to go off by. Even though the codes provided 20+ possible cuts, the tech that assisted me got it right the first time.
