Great store with tons of merchandise. They always have what I need, friendly knowledgeable service. Every clerk has memorized the location of every item, even the tiny stuff. We are lucky to have them in Berkeley.

A favorite handyman spot. Eastern carries plumbing supplies that are rated, and will past inspection without going to several supply houses. Vent pipes, drain, and supply! Cuts and threads, little or no weighting. These folks have the right stuff.

I had a plumbing emergency on a Sunday morning and needed a valve stem for a 70-year old shower. Ashby Lumber did not have it. I walked into Eastern and the owner immediately produced an exact replacement. Not only that, he advised me that the valve seat was probably also damaged and should be replaced. He had that part in stock also, along with the tool for extracting it. He gave me valuable advice how to go about making the repair. An hour later I completed the job. I'm grateful to the owner for being open on a Sunday morning, for having the parts, and for his expert advice. This is the best kind of store.
