Ordered a safe, and paid what I feel is a fair price. It had to be made, so a ~30 day wait was in order. When it arrived, I was notified and an install date set. The crew came to install it, and fully unwrapped it out it in the street for all to see, and it was there a good 30min. Never had that happen with other safe purchases from other vendors. Discretion would be nice. I had to pay extra to get it into my house, because my threshold step was over 3.5”. They simply laid down a metal sheet as a ramp, and used the same sheet inside to drive the dolly over. Seemed a bit stingy when I was already paying an install fee. Also had to pay extra to bolt it down, which was never a fee from other vendors. Install went well until the final few inches. The guys could not muscle it in, so I offered to get a screw jack and 4x4 to move it into place. When i came back they were ramming the safe with the pallet jack trying to get it to move. They slightly deformed the door and chipped off some paint. I notified Michaels and they really didnt seem to care. I noticed the lock was not what I ordered. Michaels never looked at the unit before installation, so they were not sure what I got. I had to open the door access panel to confirm it was indeed wrong. I was told a replacement would be ordered. A week later I was told it would be a few more days. Then I was told it arrived but without the dial and trim ring. Then an install was set. Then it was cancelled the day of because the tech was not qualified to do the work. A new appt was set. Late in the day of the new install I called to confirm they were still coming. Turns out they were not. So they came the next day. Overall it took just over a month to get the new lock put on. Overall experience was below average. Would not use this company in the future.

Called for info on how much it’d cost to have a key/fob made and programmed. Came in, they set me up in about 20-30 min at what I felt was a reasonable price. Friendly, relaxed store and been in the community for a long time. Will use again when I need keys. Thanks so much.

Great quality service, and quick. Another locksmith in town recommended Michael’s as did my auto mechanic. They did not disappoint. They had the parts in stock to replace my ignition and did it within an hour. I’ll be using Michael’s Keys from now on. And if you need to wait while they work the taqueria next door is pretty great too.

I placed an order to re-key and make new keys for our business. The purpose of this exchange was to limit access by having new keyed access. There was a mistake because the locks and keys I received were identical to the locks and keys on the buildings. When I went back to the store and explained the issue I was treated poorly. The locksmith behind the counter was extremely up-set wanted to blame me for the problem. I wasn't there to place or receive blame. I was there to have a problem resolved. His final words were I will get to it when I get to it. Note: I am the director of Customer Service and if I treat my customers this way I would not have customers.
